How broke would you be if short-sold THIS STOCK?
(Short sellers hope to profit on price DECLINES)

Here is the chart:

Yikes right? Who would short such a strong stock? Why hold on? Buy to cover! Buy to cover!

Congratulations.

You are short this stock already.

What is the stock?

Its not a stock. Its the value of the Australian Dollar relative to the US Dollar.

That means, if you are an American, you are already SHORT in this position and unless you take proactive measures, you will continue to be SHORT. The other currency pairs have similar charts.

You are working just to stay even. Your stocks are going up just to stay even.

Frightening huh?

After a recent trip to Sydney this summer, I've found myself plunking down more money than I was one year ago. Of course I took advantage of the situation and hopped on the currency trading lane and made some money.. and will continue to do so!:smxA:

Man :) So what you are saying is -- If we have maintained the same level of wealth, or even lost some money in the last year -- We are royally screwed!

Sometimes it feels like I'm walking the wrong way on one of those moving sidewalks in the airport.

Ouch, hopefully once the economy gets back up and running, properly, those numbers won't be quite as bad.

I started purchasing euro early last year. I'm glad I did.

I would seriously consider looking elsewhere. the EU is in at least as much trouble as the US. take a look at the Canadian dollar, Aussie dollar, BRIC currencies.

I've had the pleasure of being in Australia in 2000, and bought a bunch of great wine for 50¢ on the dollar (2 AUS$ to 1 US$).

As a US hotelier, I look forward to more international travelers who are looking to spend their currency here, in the US-- where it buys more.

The pendulum swings both ways . . . trick is to be on the right side of the uptick. :)

What can YOU do to attract international currencies?
