Re: How A 16-Year-Old Built A $100 Million Net Worth In Under 10

Very inspirational: "By age 25, he'd built companies worth over $400 million, and had written a memoir"

(By age 25, I'd built a shed behind my trailer, and had written a few bad checks).

... but by age 29, I'd founded a non-profit trade association for a new industry (w/8 other guys), and I was the founder/editor of the industry manual on home theater design and installation, working w/the likes of Lucasfilm, Dolby Labs, and Paramount Pictures.

... 20 years later, that industry is now valued at over $2 billion, and our annual trade show attracts over 20,000 people. :)

(amazing what you can get done when you stop smoking weed, eh?)

Re: How A 16-Year-Old Built A $100 Million Net Worth In Under 10

Like I have said many times. "Age is just a number." It is just one digit, two digits, or three digits. The emphasis that is put on these numbers is the human belief and disbelief that at certain age you can or cannot do something. Where does it say that you cannot own a company at age 13? It is the human disbelief that someone that age can be mature enough to be in charge that many adults cannot do. You are never too young to start and never too old.

Not Russ, but what worked for me is to get busy. If you change your focus and get busy you won't have time in your life for things that tear you down.:fastlane:

I think his new project "g-wallet" could be his biggest yet. I'm excited to see if it takes off, signs show its already doing well after the whole "scamville" debacle.

He asked you not to bash him, Luke12321. But you took the cheap shot anyway.

I saw this on Oprah a while ago and it gave me goosebumbs! SOOO motivational!! I would've much rather been the kid back in high school who was getting mad fun of/etc, knowing that I was on track to making my own future...VERY COOL!!

What a great guy. I went ahead and watched the Oprah interview too. His story is a great inspiration, I'll probably go ahead and grab his book. Does anyone know how his gWallet venture is doing?

Thanks for sharing.
