Hello all!

I live in Guatemala; a small, beautiful country in Central America!

Hoping to find my way into the fastlane, from a place with bad roads. Trying to see all obstacles as opportunities!

I'm planning to start importing to El Salvador. Guatemala and El Salvador recently opened their borders so they both have access to the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.

What do you know about that?

Not yet a reality.

The "Open Skies" initiative is in place for tourist flights only.

The merchandise customs abolishment is in the works and at the moment both countries are developing legal framework so that El Salvador can develop projects through a public-private partnership on the Guatemalan coast, which will include the opportunity to build and operate a port in Guatemalan waters, in the Atlantic Ocean, to promote commerce.

Hopefully it won't take too long, but as of right now it is just "a project".

Do you know how long it would take or where can I read about it. There's nothing on the project in English search results.

Welcome to the forum @Happer ! You'll find a vast amount of great knowledge being freely shared here. Have you read either of MJ's books? If not, that is step 1.

My general view is that the less economically developed a country is, the more opportunities there are in several respects. The country simply has more blatant needs to be fulfilled.

Take a step back. Look at what the country's people really need. Think HUGE, nothing is too big to do. And see what dots you need to connect to make things happen.
