So, as the title says I’m looking for some help learning how to make $2,500 a month without working a “real” job.

The reason I want to do this is really pretty simple: I’m sick of commuting 51 miles one way to a job I don’t really like, spending my weeks working 12 hour days away from my daughters.

I’m not trying to get rich quick (or really at all) and I’ve never been one of those people that desires or requires an astronomical income to be happy. What I do require to be happy is autonomy in work and life, enough money to be comfortable ($2500/mo) and the feeling that I’m doing something that allows me to grow as a person.

My question is this:

If you were in my position and you needed to make $2,500 a month fast, from home (or remotely, at least) and you had only a laptop and a phone, what would you do? I want to vet this down to a few ideas and turn it into an execution thread.

All responses and roasts welcome.

Doesn't sound like you want to be fastlane. Just get a job that allows you to work remotely?

Although your goal looks different than most of us here, I would still advise you to read TMF and Unscripted. Both books offer a lot of value even for what you are looking for.

Learn any of freelance skills. It might not be fast but otherwise it suits your needs. Go to fiverr.com, choose any of skills there and start learning. That's what I did and few months later it's starting to pick up (but nowhere near 2500$ yet).
Of course, I agree with others - focus on value. Luckily, there's lot of value to add as a freelancer.

You might need Ray Dalio; how to reach any goals by 5 steps of principles-getting depends on a value that matter what will work to right for you.
