Not really, just picked that up as a pseudonym.

Right now, I am trading my time for $ as a SEO expert. I plan to change this.

Also, I might blog my entrepreneurial journey on drfastlane.com (not really sure, I am a lazy person who gets sidetracked easily. So if this is too much of a distraction I will sooner kill it than let it ruin my productivity.)

I am completely clueless about what I am going to do, yet I am certain that the life I am leading is slated for major changes. I have no business idea, no capital (not enough at least).

I am not quitting my job as a temporal prostititute though, it pays the bills and puts food on the table. I will hold it until I have an idea I can begin to pursue.

Any SEO tips?

Avoid using the same anchor text. Your target keyword should be used in less than 10% of the time as the anchor text. Personally, I like to hover around the 5% mark.

Avoid using your keyword in your webpage too much. You need to mention your keyword in your copy far less than people think is necessary for SEO. Google has reallly come a long way in picking up the semantics of a webpage the last couple of years.

Yoast plugin isn't always right.

Don't build shitty links.

You can still use duplicate/spun content to a certain degree, especially for the low competition keywords.

The average word count of top 3 positions in Google has been consistently going up.

Apart from that, if you have anything specific or would like me to take a look at your website or something, feel free to message me or post here.

If you truly are an expert, then you will be able to use that expertise when it comes to setting up your fastlane business.

However I would say what you're doing already can be fastlane; what's your pricing structure?

Do you specialise in a particular industry; and do you have a bunch of repeat clients?

Yes, I have given the idea of turning my temporal prostituion to a fastlane business some thought.

I don't have too many clients rn as most of my time was spent on setting up made for Adsense/affiliate/CPA blogs etc. Had a little bit of money, was young & dumb... Lost it all. Came back into the game after a hiatus. I am still now out of the pit, but will crawl out of it soon. Right now, I would have to stick to the cookie cutter SEO business for a few months at least.

My geographical location is also somewhat of an obstacle. I hope to overcome that by delivering results and gaining referrals from exisiting clients.

On the flip side, my geographical location also gives me access to cheap human resources, so I can arbitrage that to my advantage.

Apart from all this, I am pretty good with using tech - setting up servers and stuff and learning Python on the side (my first project would be a minimalistic blockchain of my own, I think the blockchain tech is promising and has tons of applications. This would allow me to understand it better.)

Do it, and don't be so hard on yourself or your SEO job/business? There's a great thread on somebody who used his slowlane experiences to turn him into a fastlane entrepreneur; it is what you make it.

Go and check out @Ungodly's gold post...

Do you mean writing the code for a blockchain?

If you do, I would scale that back a bit if you're a novice coder. Plus of course a blockchain is only as good as the amount of people looking to run it.

Great strategy, nothing wrong with a job when it's a means to an end!

The blockchain thing is more of a learning project than a real world one. I don't expect myself to create something usable.

Your SEO knowledge is a grrat asset that you are currently capitalising as a job. Rather than spend your free time developing your Blockchain knowledge I recommend investing that time into turning your knowledge of SEO into a repeatable process that you can outsource and a defined offer.

Define your target market and offer different packages at different price points. Your audience will let you know what they want and how much they want to pay. Then over deliver.

Facebook is an amazing tool to test offers and get real data on your target audience. Data like the cost for a lead or even for a sale is also key to defining your offer and price point.

The fact that SEO lends itself perfectly to repeat business increases your average lifetime value giving you an even greater opportunity to scale profitably through performance based advertising. Work out the math and test.

I'm sure none of what I'm suggesting is easy but it just struck me that if your asking about SEO but investing your time into Blockchain, you may be missing the benefits of a focused approach.

I'm a noob so take my advice with a pinch of salt ;)

You're right. I need to be focused and finish one project before jumping into the next one, being the hyper-active person that I am... jumping between projects has been a constant problem that stopped me from being productive.

At the very least, I need to think about it in greater detail before I make a decision.

Read Deep Work by Cal Newport, it will revolutionise your productivity.
