Living in a third world country with no path of having a financial link to the outside world is really frightening. A couple of months ago i came across TMF when i searched books on business . After I read the book my perception on reality totally broke , I had no idea that the i was being fed a lie of living in a system which was making me a slave . From a young age in our country we have been fed that finishing college is the only way of earning any money and without a certificate we are worthless.

My parents aren't educated and have not gone anywhere outside of my city so they don't know how the real world works. They have been fed this lie to that certificate is the key to happiness . The first victim of this system that i have saw first hand is my sister. She finished her college 2 years ago with top grades but she hasn't been able to find find a single job. She is too deep in this as this system is the only thing she has been taught. She is so deep in her bubble that even if i try to talk to her about this matter she gets angry at me and doesn't speak to me for weeks.

I don't want to end up like that so I ventured into the pile of gurus on the internet who promised to make 500 dollars a day which is alot in my country but thanks to the lord that there isn't a way to make international payment in my nation. I began going deeper into depression as I didn't know what to do then i came across MJ's book and it gave me hope that I didn't had to be a famous person or have rich parents to achieve wealth. He taught me more than my entire school or social life had taught me for my entire life.

I don't know why but I always wanted to own a company and I hated the idea of working for another corporation.I am not sure what it is but i guess i was right even with all the bs being shoved down my neck I have a sense of being independent and not being shackled to a certificate. I am currently attending high school and I have been learning new skills thanks to this form but personally @Fox for showing me web design from his youtube channel. I am kinda sad that I cannot afford his legends program but I am eager to work my a$$ off to earn a bit of money so that I can attend the program. SO WAIT FOR ME @Fox .

My real life progress is halted due to the covid outbreak but as soon as the lockdown is finished I am going to start working my a$$ off to get into fox's program and out of this country so that i can achieve what MJ or any other successful entrepreneur have achieved.

If anyone who is reading this can tell me if they had a similar situation or how they overcame a difficult situation I would love to learn from those situations.

Welcome to the forums.

Here is my older progress thread: GOLD! - How to Learn Code, Start a Web Company, $15k+ per month within 9 months

Check out this great thread also: GOLD! - Moved to Scottsdale, Growing a Web Design Firm

Holy smokes.
Now I am extra motivated.

This tale might interest you...

I'm doing freelance copywriting while studying in business school.
My problem is not so much about the lie behind the education certificate, but with the people IN COLLEGE.

I could learn from good professors, but group mates or peers who lazed around, only did enough, left me to pick up the scraps, and just didn't enrich my learning environment?
Really toxic.

At least in business, you can pick who you want to work with, or develop your filter-processes to select your partners or employees more carefully. Not so much in college.

As for the lockdown, looking at what the governments are doing...do your best to get to work NOW.

Even if local businesses are hard to get, you can try out clients from nearer, more developed regions like India. I've found a few clients from there, for some B2B white paper jobs.

You can quickly use Upwork, or go the long game and hit up LinkedIn.

Now on Nepal's online banking (you still need a place to receive payments from clients)...

I see that some local banks in your area do offer online banking. And there's foreign banks like Standard Chartered which you can try out.

The stupid thing is that even in my own country, the banks don't allow you to top-up your account for PayPal ( the go-to online wallet for many freelancers). In my case, I can still keep some money in PayPal, but I transfer most of my latest client payments to a solid bank. And I can still use PayPal-connected cards to pay for online stuff.

I'm hearing online that while you can open PayPal accounts in Nepal, you'd probably be stuck with the work-arounds as I described.

So you need online payment alternatives...
I found this Reddit thread.

It suggests alternative payment channels like Skrill and Payoneer, which you can try out.
