Hello Fastlane community! My name is Chris and I currently live in Idaho. I am a Captain in the US Air Force and have been in the military for the last 10yrs including my enlisted time. Ever since I read Rich Dad Poor Dad I had been interested in Business and Investing. It was like a total change in how I viewed money and the possibilities of being financially free. Since then I have read a few more books and have purchased the Cashflow game.
Now, I think I have come to the end of my time serving in the military. The entrepreneurial drive runs strong with me and I believe it is my next step in my life. The frequent deployments have had its toll on me and my family. This will be my last deployment before I transition to the B/I side of the quadrant. Believe me; I am thrilled at this new challenge and change.
My interest and plan will be in real estate investing as a business. Initially, I plan to flip houses to earn large chunks of cash to get into the big deals. It is a strategy I used all the time in the Cashflow game. I would buy SFH for cheap and when someone turned a market card with a buyer I would sell it and jump into the big deals. The big deals I wish to pursue are multifamily units or Storage units. I know the resident experts are SteveO and ATW and hope to read and ask them questions.
Finally, thanks MJ for creating this forum! It is funny, I remember reading your success story in the richdad forums years ago and being inspired by it. Thanks for keeping out all the spammers and trolls from this forum…it is really a breath of fresh air!
