Sorry a bit of a rant at myself but hopefully this might also save someone from getting to my age and nothing to show for all the years of hard work.
Can't believe it's taken me all these years to realise that I am in this mess because I've been making bad choices and here was I blaming everyone else for taking up my time and energy, instead of letting me get on and make my millions.
I've always wanted to be rich as long as I can remember but always took the back seat in that car, juggling my life to keep others happy and spending my money so they didn't go without.
I've worked since I left school and went to college to study motor mechanics, from there I became a care assistant working in nursing homes for the elderly and adults with learning disabilities for around 10yrs. After my eldest taught me how to use a computer I then got a job working for the repairs team of property services and maintenance.
I know I can't change the past but I sure am going to take the steering wheel from now on to make better choices for myself.
Ok I have my 83yr old dad to consider as I'm his full time carer but my 3 kids are all grown up and now have their own lives.
I'm lucky though as I now live with my dad and although I am his carer he is still fairly independent which means I have a lot of time to myself and can also work from home. I'm also in the process of my house being sold as I had it repossessed just before xmas, so once the debts are paid off I should at last be debt free and hopefully have some spare money for a change.
Over the past 8yrs I've learn't a lot with regards the internet and even did a Webmasters course which has given me an insight into programming. I've had a lot of people ask me to build them websites etc but i'v just never pushed myself forward to do them or should I say I've never been strong enough to tell friends, partners and relatives I'm too busy earning money for myself to help them out, but then I get that look off them which makes me feel guilty and before you know it I've put them 1st again lol
I Have read M.J's book and wow what an insight and inspiration, I just found out so much about where I'd been going wrong in life and that my way of thinking was along with how most other peoples is "stuck in the slow lane".
I have a few decisions to make but with what i've been through over the past few years it's definitely made me a stronger person and M.J's book has just made me rethink my whole life.
