I’m Roy and I live in the UK.
I’m almost done reading TMF and it’s been inspiring.
I work as a software engineer in the financial industry. I have a good salary but, as TMF teaches, it’s ULL and I agree. I have a chance to reach Magnitude on my salary (might need to trade more time actually for Magnitude), but it’s not guaranteed; and I’ll still won’t have my freedom and income tax is not forgiving.
My father is an entrepreneur (with the kind of wealth I want to have minus the exit part), but I never got the “entrepreneur bug”, possibly because of my risk aversion.
I now want to “level up” and I think going Fastlane has the highest probability: find an idea (that’s on me) and execute massively (with your inspiration and support).
I’m working on my mindset: change to see opportunities everywhere and hopefully I will find my Fastlane idea through trial and error.
In the words of “12 Months to $1 Million”, I’m more of a builder than a visionary, so I hope I’ll be lucky to find an idea or a partner that is visionary.
