Just want to say I am glad to join a community such as this. I have been a long time on and off lurker since the inception of this forum. It's funny, when this forum started I was at a phase in my life where I didnt really have any direction in my life, both personal and financial success was at the way bottom. I am proud to say over the past years I have worked my way up to being very content in both of those departments. Past 2 years were 85k and 95k on the books respectively. This year is going to come close to 200k.
The catch, I am an employee and 85% of my waking life is on someone elses clock (literally, i work 7 days a week). While i do get to enjoy the finer things I still am a slave to the system.
Since I was a child it was always in the back of my mind that some day i will become a self made multi millionaire. I got into all of the well known personal growth books such as Think and Grow Rich in my teens. These books changed my life. Since then it's been a journey of finding my way. And its been a difficult one. I'll spare the stories of being at rock bottom numerous times, for now at least.
I feel I am at the point in my life where it is time to convert all of my brute work into something exponential, into something that is mine. Into something that will bring true happyness.
I signed up here to absorb the energy that this forum is about. And I hope that I will be able to reciprocate. Everything has to be balanced in the end.
