Hi everyone! Firstly, thank you MJ for starting me down this path towards financial freedom. It's one thing to casually dream about escaping the rat race and another to see why it's critical to do everything I can to leave it.
A little of my background:
Over the last week I've re-read MJ's book, watched some Youtube videos, brainstormed ideas and chatted with ChatGPT and I know I'm drifting without taking any real steps. I sometimes feel that my complete lack of business knowledge limits my ideas as I can't fully understand how I could help other businesses.
At the moment I need to escape my analysis paralysis and the fear that my ideas will soon become obsolete with AI. A few of my current ideas:
Finally, a huge thank you to Andy Black for encouraging me to make this first post! I likely would have continued lurking if I hadn't seen your topic. I'm looking forward to exploring more of the topics linked in your signature.
A little of my background:
- Living in the UK
- 32 yr old married mum of 2
- currently working a (fully remote) 9-5 job for an online training provider

I sometimes feel that my complete lack of business knowledge limits my ideas as I can't fully understand how I could help other businesses.
At the moment I need to escape my analysis paralysis and the fear that my ideas will soon become obsolete with AI. A few of my current ideas:
- Having been an avid fiction audiobook listener for the past year, I feel there is a need for a tool that helps listeners discover new audiobooks based on genre, tropes, narrator, narration style, pacing, accent etc. I could also offer custom AI recommendations based on their preferences. Ideally this would help listeners avoid wasting money on books they don't enjoy. This idea is based off personal struggles and reddit threads, but I now need to do my market research. I'm holding myself back thinking it's a rubbish idea and that I really want to do it because I find it interesting. But I also know I just need to go out and make my mistakes.
- Alternatively, I could help self-publishers struggling with marketing (based off reddit threads e.g spending $100/day on Meta ads and getting back $2 for every $1 spend - is that any good?)
- Random idea - an AI tool that scans a bunch of Lego and flags missing pieces from the set (based off my own struggle when re-selling old Lego)
