I've been playing around with an idea and thinking of bootstrapping this by starting really small first. Like "from my home kitchen" kind of small lol
1) This will be a healthy and lean meal replacement kit which I DIY at home and then package into a box for easy delivery / shipping.
The kit will consist of ingredients like protein powder, chia seeds, greens powder and the whole lot which I won't list all here.
Each ingredient will be packed into small sachets (probably cheap resealable small ziplock bags) and everything will be in a kraft box (I haven't research too much on the packaging).
2) I came up with this idea as I've been drinking this smoothie daily (made from the same ingredients which I'll be selling) for a couple years (I do strength training too, but not a pro bodybuilder or coach)
3) I currently have all these ingredients (all expensive ones from known brands lol). In future if I need to scale, I'll either get bulk discounts or find cheaper versions.
4) I asked ChatGPT to evaluate this based on MJ's CENTS framework and it gave a good conclusion on it, but then again, it may not be accurate.
I had another idea which I asked ChatGPT to analyze (homemade Ready-To-Drink protein smoothie packaged in a bottle), and it concluded that the meal kit option is better, one of the reasons being lots of legal issues regarding Ready-To-Drink beverages and logistical hurdles.
5) Forget the legal stuff, that can be worked around later. As far as I can see, no major hurdles here locally that can't be worked around.
6) I haven't calculated the cost per kit yet. I'll need to throw in all the figures later into ChatGPT to get a good answer. The cost per kit is the make-or-break issue.
Another issue is with marketing. I've no clue how to get the word out without having to burn thousands or tens of thousands of $$$ on online ads and praying it'll "work".
I never had success with online ads in all my previous "ventures".
7) I'm a website/video/graphic designer, so that part won't be an issue and is my only (useless) leverage lol
Rate my idea and let me know why it will work / won't work, the pros and cons, pitfalls etc.
