    Hello Everyone!
I recently read the Millionaire Fast Lane and Unscripted, and I've had my fair share of F*** This Events. I worked hard all my life, got myself "highly educated," had multiple "prestigious internships", and still not where I want to be. On the other hand, my husband seems to have an entrepreneurial mind set from the start. He is a very good looking charismatic guy by societal standards, but after "failing" a couple interviews for the dumb reasons "employers" usually give, he just decided he should not waste his time, and start his own practice earlier than planned.

Out of curiosity, has anyone here ever consulted a psychic about their life direction? I literally had one that did a "tailored reading" for me that told me I'm not cut out to own my own business. I know it would be silly to completely listen to that, but has anyone consulted any psychics during low points in their lives, and had any success following their predictions?

Hi Lily, welcome from another pretty new forum user.

I'm glad you and your husband both have an entrepreneurial mindset. It's really hard when only half of a couple has the ambition and drive to make their own business. You don't mention your age range?

If you need business building skills and know-how, in order to build a business, I think a psychic's not likely to be able to help you with that.

If you have all that and you're STILL not able to make it work, perhaps there's psychological or spiritual issues, for which a psychological or spiritual solution would be appropriate... in whatever form captures your imagination, to inspire and motivate YOUR inner world as works best for you. Could be traditional cognitive counseling, could be hypnosis, could be a psychic... each type of intervention can show some success stores, and each has debunkers.

But until you've diligently, really tried to use the physical tools of this world to collect the tangible wealth of this world... I'd be reluctant to seek an answer from out of this world.

Suppose that Spirit could see that you really should make a scalable e-commerce solution franchised through local sales reps... would the psychic even have the business vocabulary to be able to deliver that message??

Hi Late Bloomer, I am just turned 29, and my husband is about the same age. The thing with me is I've always had a desire to work in the public sector, so it was not an option to not be overly educated for some of the more interesting work. I wanted to work for a federal agency or at least consult for one. I've even joined the military in a technical field one weekend a month to get me some special points. The training process was a huge slap to the face, to say the least. But honestly, at this point, I ran out of fks to give and the last thing I need is someone saying I should never start my own business. He wasn't a psychic, more like a geomancy pseudoscience guy commonly used in some cultures. I'm confident I have the analytical capability to grasp how a business works even without a business background.

You are the only real creator/author of your future.

The "vision" of a psychic is irrelevant - EXCEPT you make it relevant by re-writing said future to fit said vision.

This. Everyone you know will have an opinion of what you are or aren't capable of. If you're going to do anything extraordinary you'll have to tune them out.

If youre going to have to tune out the opinions of people that know you, why listen to a stranger that doesn't?

I will tell you, seeing a psychic can be dangerous.

Think about their business model... they want recurring visitors. So the first session you'll be hyped up about some fabulous vision they have for you, and they will leave you with a cliffhanger so you have to come back. Or, if they are really low on the ethical totem pole, they will instill a sense of fear and dependency in you, convincing you that they are the luminary for your path to success. In either scenario, they are banking on your lack of self-confidence so you become attached to their process. Just like an addict looking for their next hit, you'll be looking for your next sign of hope. The only valid hope in life is hope you create for yourself by deciding to take action. A better psychic model is to wake up every day, look yourself in the mirror, and ask the simple question; "What will I do today, before my head hits the pillow, to recreate my future?" You have to answer to yourself, and if you can't answer to yourself, you will not succeed.

You do realize that you can see what a psychic sees, right? We all have that connection. Most people don't realize though.

@Xavier X said it. The words are literal. You are the creator.

Years ago I asked myself to show me the way. That has happened and is still happening.

I have seen visions to the point that they are no longer needed for understanding.

Look inside yourself and ask questions.

By the way. I did seek a psychic once. Did not say anything to them about visions or anything of that nature. This person said that I did not need them. That I could already see what I needed to.

I'm a very skeptical person. I personally don't believe in such 'powers', but I do believe the power of words and the role they can play psychologically on our conscious and subconscious mind, especially from an "authority" figure, therefor I avoid any kind of input from anyone who wishes to express anything about my upcoming life.

The problem that I see is that the "psychic", while he's giving you an "insight of your future", he's actually "programming" you (if you're mind believes that his claims are true) and if your mind perceives him as authority figure, then that's most likely the case.

Later in life, you will be faced with a situation where you have to choose between two things, first thing can lead to great things in life and fulfillment (possibly your business), second will not (possibly regular job opportunity), you may choose the second (consciously or un-consciously), because you have been pre-programmed by the psychic and your brain just loops and processes this mis-information in the background (I'm not a business person... I'm not a business person, this 9-5 sounds amazing, I'm not good at business anyway..).

Do you really want some random dude from the street to misguide you and set you on the wrong path in the only life you've been given to?

Personally I think this practice should be illegal, not only it has never been proven to be effective, it's an complete absurd from a scientific perspective, an money extortion, false hope and false belief programming.

Carl Sagan had a great quote "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence". If you want to have a laugh, check out "James Randi" on YouTube, he even put out a million dollar prize for anyone who can prove their psychic or supernatural abilities under scientific conditions, needles to say, nobody has ever claimed the price. Nothing like that exists, and if it did, science would be all over it.

Here's an example from my life: I was dating an older woman, who was into numerology. She made a chart of my life (health/fulfillment etc..). The chart claimed that till 27 I was raising up and from there, my life is a downfall and long story short that I will possibly face an early demise.

Now, think how would I live the rest of my life now (IF I actually believe in it), that I'm pre-programmed to think nothing will ever get better only worse till my life is cut short? and on top of all that, I've been battling depression for the last 10 years. Imagine the drastic effect on my life and daily activities if I actually believed in a word she said? Therefor exactly the opposite to her chart is happening, I'm evolving daily and life gets better and better.

My advice is to never give such power to any person in your life. Always be your own worst sceptic and analyize yourself. If you have adequate picture of your abilities, nothing will stop you and people who are going the wrong direction won't drag you along.

Same goes the other way around. "Positive" programmers are just as bad, people who give compliments and praise you, because they might overstate your abilities and your mind will believe in it, but when the time comes, you're not ready for the challenge because you have been fed too much sugar and your guard is down.

Example: I have a good friend, when he comes over I show him some stuff I've made (programming or electronics) and sometimes he records it to show to his co-workers and friends. The company he's working for is looking for a software developer, he recommended me. His co-workers who have seen my work think I'm over qualified for the job and they were joking that they would all get fired if I joined. While it's a trully great compliment, in reality I know I would just waste their time. I'm a Linux guy, they're coorporate Windows environment, I don't remember last time I sat by Windows machine, it would just take so long to catch up that any other kid from college majoring in the field would be 10x more productive than me. So I never went to the interview.

The only time I take the compliment or critique as 'acceptable' is when an expert from the field I'm working on compliments or critiques me. For example if I had my own business and a very successful business man complimented me on my accomplishments or mentioned me as an example somewhere, I would feel so proud or if I a fellow programmer who's skills are way supperior than mine gave me compliment, that kind of compliment would hold so much value, not some random person from a street who doesn't even understand how reality works.

In the end, I'm the only one who has the most accurate picture of my abilities and so are you of your own! Never underestimate the power of that thing that sits inside your skull!

The two people who have the largest impact on my life are Brian Tracy (more technical) and Anthony Robbins (more motivating). I strongly suggest to check out Brian Tracy (if you haven't already), he has written countless books on various subjects on self development and so has Anthony (there's no "the secret/power of attraction" bs, just straight up logic).

Also, I'm in somewhat in similar situation as your husband, I wish him luck reaching his goals.

Thanks for explaining some more, Lily.

I understand that federal Human Resources might have lots of strict requirements about your background, to get hired as an employee. But, what would it take to be qualified as a vendor of consulting services? My guess is that might be a lot easier process, especially if they have set-asides for women-owned, andveteran-owned businesses?

    Is this the Reserves?

Makes me think of Feng Shui or something like that.

Interesting to see what other forum users have to say about messages from Beyond. In addition to any real message, of course there's also the risk that the "seer" is just a charlatan... not good at seeing anything other than how to mirror your own emotions back at you while creating a sense of mystery... and dependency.

Yep! I think for most people it's not really a matter of how smart they are, but are they using their smarts to think constructive ideas about business that get them moving in the right direction. You're obviously willing to analyze, learn, and go through a multi-step process to get to your destination. I have a ways to go myself, but found MJ's approach very helpful. I hope the forum's a great resource for you.

I've had a few neighbors tell me what they thought about my dreams and goals. Aside from that, I have been the master of my own destiny with books, courses, mentors on top of focus and hard work. If you want to get a firm grip on your future, I would recommend checking out a book such as Think And Grow Rich and possibly trying out numerology. Lastly, I would recommend forming your own mastermind group in your local community to promote and share ideas with one another.

What psychic? The world runs on science, facts and figures, not magical powers pulled out from some "Azure Gates of Avalon".

One of my favorite scenes in Empire Strikes Back is when Luke goes to lift the X-Wing out of the swamp using the Force. But the X-Wing crashes back into the Swamp. Luke turns to Yoda and tells him, "You want the Impossible." He then begins to leave. Yoda starts shaking his head. Yoda then begins to lift the X-Wing out of the swamp with the force. R2-D2 starts making noises. Luke runs back and beings yelling. "I don't believe this!" Yoda then says, "That is why you fail."

Don't ever doubt yourself. Don't ever let other people tell you what you can and cannot do in life. I say experience is a far better indicator of whether you can do business or not than some random psychic.

If you have time to visit a psychic, then you have time to watch the episode below showing you how they are all charlatans.

Do not listen to these people, especially when it is as something as creating wealth via your own business.

If you want to believe they can talk to your dead cat, fine. Maybe that's a comfort to you. But don't let them dictate what you do with your life.

My dad is into feng shui, which is pretty much psychic philosophy from the East lol.

Once, he claimed that I had to find a career dealing with metals and rocks for greater success (e.g. engineering, minerology, chemistry, dentistry with metal tools, etc.), as I was 'more aligned with the element'

    Didn't make sense.

Then I realised that 99% of the stuff I use or buy every day, which include computers and stationery, are made of some kind of metal at some point.
Even if I didn't choose any of the rock/metal-related careers, I would still be using the elements in Fastlane.

So I am fulfilling the 'prophecy' anyhow? I dunno. No biggie here.

But feng shui is a billion-dollar business in my region.

Speaking of Feng shui, in the mid-90s, our family engaged these "masters" to come into our house to see what we can do to optimize our health, wealth, ward off evil spirits etc..

The guy recommended that we rearrange all our furniture so that the elements in the house is aligned with the elements and all that stuff.....ended up the rearrangements of furniture made the home layout very awkward lol.

    Those were the days.

I somehow feel that the arrangement of furniture COULD help with stress reduction and even a bit of cleanliness (dust gathering in choked-up corners), if done correctly based on maximising space and minimalism...but its more scientific than psychic haha

Given your stated analytical nature, and interest in a psychic, you may find my work on computer analysis of your emotions. I place much more trust in a computer filtering a large dataset in accordance with rules established by psychologists than in the predictions of astrologers. It almost seems like a more logical approach to filling the need that a horoscope might..
You have medium confidence and happiness in your intro.
