I have 5 YOE as a software developer. I don't know if being a sales rep and trying to learn the ropes, and perhaps bridging it with sales in the technology sectore is a way into the fast lane. I was thinking that it would be a useful tool to have for aquiring a company or joining a startup and boosting sales in the future. I've also heard that many entrepreneus found being a salesman very helpful in their career.
The small tech company I tried to join wanted only sales reps with a technical bacground (i dont have the former).

Thoughts?
