Gas card contest

I want to run a contest on my website where I give away a $50 gas card to 2 of 1000 people who enter the contest. It would be no purchase necessary.

I know how to set one up and run one, but should I do it?

Would any of you enter if I did? I'm debating as to whether or not I should even hold a contest or simply go about sellling my product the normal way. A portion of my product is free (and is what would be used in the contest in order to participate), but I want to create a big push for holiday sales.

Meanwhile, I'll browse around the fastlane forum for threads about contests.
