I've been a software engineer for many many years working for globally recognisable companies - building software above and beyond in my spare time which 100% of the time just ends up being useless in my GitHub repos. I can build pretty much anything starting from an IT infrastructure up to a web/mobile apps. I've been in the industry for over 16+ years so I know almost any aspect of software engineering/development lifecycle etc.
I've decided to make a huge shift and start developing apps/websites that actually are marketable and can bring revenue for myself instead of others. I feel very confident if it comes to technical skills but my business/marketing/networking skills are non existent.
Has anyone gone though a similar journey and can share any tips on how to approach the transition?
Maybe some books, links, materials I could familiarise myself with?
