In the spirit of promoting action, I'm proposing a one year challenge to see who can sell the most copies of one self-published book. Participants must start from scratch, and they can use any sales platform. If anyone else is interested, let me know and we will make it official.

If I were running the contest though, I'd probably suggest it be limited to first-time authors or brand-new pen names -- something to inspire newbies to jump in and give self-publishing a go. Those of us with a few books under our belt could cheer them on!

That would be awesome. I've never done it, and I anticipate a steep learning curve. Nonetheless, I am going to do it.

It wouldn't be fun to chase a turtle. That's what I currently do everyday. I'd rather get dusted by superman and grow in the process.
