So I figured I'd share this because it may help a lot of others out who have been frustrated by not getting featured by 'influences' with your product.

This was my first email to her. I found her on instagram and saw she owned a business in my niche. I emailed her to offer to promote her for free.

Her reply...offering to promote me for free.

Lessons taking away from this:
  1. The intent behind my offer was legit. I wasn't even trying to get promotion, and was just looking to help (did this on a whim while killing time on instagram).
  2. Try to provide value to others, and they will provide value to you. Try to suck value from others, and you wont get very far. I feel it's some subtle energy behind the words that they respond to.
  3. I didn't have to use any sales tricks..and I even spelled Magazine wrong in the title.
Anyhow, this type of thinking is probably obvious to most of us now, but i'm sure there are a few newbies out here who are still learning this lesson of giving giving giving.
