Congressman Edolphus "Ed" Towns Presents . . .
A New York 10th District Federal Procurement Seminar
Monday, July 14, 2008
9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Saint Francis College
Founders Hall Auditorium
180 Remsen Street
Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201
I am pleased to host a federal procurement seminar on July 14 that will offer small businesses
and others an opportunity to learn the basics about contracting with the federal and state
government. I feel strongly that members of the Brooklyn community should be given the
opportunity to learn how to obtain and utilize the benefits provided by the government. This
seminar provides such an opportunity; the featured speakers will share their vast knowledge
on how to become a contractor to the government, the kinds of services the government is
seeking, and the benefits that contracting can provide to both business and government.
featuring:
The U.S. Small Business Administration
The Office of the Mayor of New York
Empire State Development
NYS Office of General Services
Tentative Agenda:
. Registration/Continental Breakfast
. Opening Address by Congressman Towns
. Paneled discussion: Doing Business with the Federal Government
. Question and answer session
. Paneled discussion: Doing Business with Local/State Government
. Question and answer session
. Wrap-up
This is a free seminar, however limited space is available.
Please RSVP by July 1st 2008.
