Hey everyone,
Been searching the World Wide Web for some answers for this but can't really find a solid step-by-step anywhere at all.
Basically, I want to start up a clothing store. It's not a clothing line, but rather a clothing boutique. I'd like to sell some of the large named brands like Ralph Lauren etc., but I'd also like to take on a few not-so-well-known brands which may be underground etc.
I have some online retailers who I'd aspire to compare my future business with, one of which is www.showpo.com. The website doesn't seem to stock name-brand clothing, but does some really nice stuff which isn't labelled as their own brand etc.
For places like this, do they just go to Chinese importers and send designs, or do they work with designers etc and just claim the designs as their own whilst shipping a certain % of profits the other direction?
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. I'm just in the beginning phase of putting this idea to work so really would like some info on how to go about getting things to sell.
