I've actually been on here for a few months now, mostly lurking with the occasional contribution so I thought I'd pop my head up and introduce myself.
My name is Jonny, originally from Ireland, moved to Vancouver, Canada 13 years ago now.
I always knew there was a better way to make money, even in my youth I firmly believed that everyone has the ability to make themselves financially wealthy, they just need to find their path.
I stumbled across MFL through a podcast earlier this year and it gave me the lightbulb moment I needed.
I'm currently working on a directory for the industry I work in, as far as I can make out it ticks all boxes of the CENTS framework. It's early stages at the moment but it's ready to be populated.
My failures so far:
Mortgage consulting company, was actually doing well before the recession in 2008
Car detailing company, started in the middle of that recession so yes that was a failure
Dropshipping, really didn't know what I was doing with that
Affiliate marketing, was working on this before I realised it's a hitch hiking strategy so I ditched it, never made any money
I currently run a horse training/coaching business. This is my 'do what I love' and my passion for it is in jeopardy. I don't want to give it up but I would like to do it on a smaller scale, backed by a fastlane business. I'm not afraid to work long hours to make this happen, my days mostly start at 5 or 6am with my directory, I'll go work my coaching business, snatching moments here and there during the day to work my fastlane business and come home to work on the directory some more, often until 10pm or later.
