About 1 year for me. After that, I stopped driving it on Friday or Saturday night. Rarely valet parked in a crowded mall. Never took it anywhere where a crowd might congregate. In the first year, it was cool -- after that, I had it.

A Toyota Tacoma with nearly 100,000 miles.

Its hilarious because I almost did the same thing. Went from a Gallardo to a Murcielago to about another dozen exotic cars before I turned 30, then my back started hurting every time I was in/out of the lambos so now I still keep one but rarely drive it. I daily an Aston and Rover and I cant tell you my appreciation for the aston line and the comfort for daily driving...

You ever try an Aston, MJ?

Was the ride. I am not that old where in and out is difficult yet.

I am 5,7 and 180 in shape but anything over 45 min in the Gallardo or Murci and you have to pull over and stretch. I do enjoy the attention when driving it but can agree with MJ that it can get annoying and old quick. I like the aston much better because it gets equal attention but in a very different way.

People think I am a cocky prick when I drive the lambo but people think I am successful when i drive the Aston. I am referring to people who dont know me on the street of course.

What model aston? (even though they're all the same to the average person anyway  )

Cool video, it's about what I would expect driving a car like that in those areas. Especially with the paint job or when the doors go up hehehe.

That was a nice thing for Allen to do, I'm sure it made that girls week.

Is it an unreal feeling buying your first exotic? I've asked this tons of times on other sites and people usually just say "I liked the blue one". Seriously, would any of you be willing to give an indepth kind of explanation? It's sorta fascinating, haha.

lol they're KIDS what do you expect? That's exactly how id react at 16 years old to a lamborghini. I noticed its in NYC, Ive only seen 1 lamborghini in NYC my entire life and ive lived here 20 years. Most wealthy people here just buy BMWs and Mercedez Benz' cant have any fun in a lambo in stop ad go traffic and stop lights every 10 ffet. Cant wait to move back to FL.

yeah extactly I live myself in Denmark and I'm 19 and it's also super super rare that you will see an lamborghini! let alone any other good car.
Because Denmark is the worst socialist country on earth the taxes are sky high(which makes it also a shitty country for entrepreneurs) (about 60 % for the upper class) the cars you have to pay a very very high tax like 200 - 300 % or something like that so the cars are super expensive...

I have no idea why people waste money on these cars

Well because I can and you cannot doesn't cut it for me. I honestly would not buy one of these cars if I had billions of dollars. Maybe I would change my mind if I lived in germany.

No one here is the judge-and-jury on what rocks someone's world -- for some, it could be one of these expensive cars, for someone else, it might be a cabin in the middle of bumblefuck with no running water. To each his own.

Or perhaps a more simplistic explanation in the words of Vigilante ... "Because I can-- and you cannot."

I also usually get this much attention while driving my '01 Mitsubishi Mirage! But only because either another part has fallen off, or, that hole in the muffler is billowing thick black smoke again! :p #sidewalkersteering

This was an awesome thing to do for that girl! What a nice guy.

I had an opportunity to drive exotic cars for a while because of my old job and the attention is very nice, never really bothered me. Also it opens some "doors" and you meet interesting people.

Very nice video!

Allen,

You got your heart in the right place.. Just saw the video and it was really emotional.

You didn't just give her a ride, you made the video, put that up on youtube got people to donate her money.. You opened up a new door for her.. That was very noble of you..

Can I ask, how did you get the car cam?

I am really tempted to do something similar in UK in my Bentley. If giving some unfortunate one a ride in my car can open up new possibilities for them then why not. Its all about Karma, I am a big believer in that..

I am pretty sure he used GoPro cameras. I think he had special mounts made for his car for the cameras, not sure about that though.

This was very inspirational and such a "giving" video...

What I got out of this is the power of opportunities you can provide with being financial free

Perhaps you don't share the same dream as me, and don't understand it. That's okay. I don't understand the dreams of other people as well. For example, some people dream about owning a closet full of thousand dollar shoes. I don't get that. But that's okay, because I respect other people's individuality. How boring would this world be if everyone was the same and had the same desires?
Yea Rego, only the person holding that desire or dream would understand why he chose those things as his goals or dreams in the first place. You just can't put it in words. Ironically, no better explanation than this.

Holy fricking @!$(#%! I WANT ONE NOW!!!

What a nice gesture on his part, to take that girl for a ride. I also admire his strenght of character when people around him talk smack (especially those high school kids) and when they're taking photos. I would of got out and yelled "enough with the photos! it's just a car, jeez!"
+1 for Regoapps. You sir,win at life.
