I think many of us have come across this question. What's in a domain name? Early internet adopters that were able to pickup names like cars.com, etc.... at minimum could have sold the domain for a small fortune.
These days most of the big names are sold, and now it's come down to paying 2k+ for a semi-known name, or even a combination of letters as opposed to coming up with something completely unique.
What are your thoughts on purchasing something for thousands as opposed to building a unique name?
BTW yes that domain is available for bidding in case you were wondering but this is more of a general question.
