If you're an entrepreneur struggling with ideas on what to make, may I recommend children as a target audience?
As a father of two young children, what I'll tell you is that most solutions offered for most problems of parenting, educating, loving, supporting, teaching, playing, eating and other children related activities are poorly met.
I myself will progressively lean into some of these problems.
Have you watched "children" related videos? Movies? Books? Toys? 95% of what we come across as parents is garbage. Especially media.
This is something my wife and I talk a lot about (and act very little about): the media landscape for children is dog shit. Just dog shit. Almost every moving frame we have found designed for children will teach them terrible compulsive mannerisms. Meaning if my toddler watches the movies that are intended for her, she will become retarded. This is not an exaggeration.
There are only 2 movies I have dared show my daughter: My Neighbor Totoro, and a movie called Flow that just came out. Flow doesn't even have any dialogue. It's just the story of a cat and a bunch of other animals that share a boat and survive a flood together. Go on an epic journey. Being animals. The movie was made by a small studio of friends using Blender for animation.
Material that is genuine, loving, charismatic, fun, playful, and silly is incredibly rare!
Almost everything from Disney teaches violence, anger, rage, fighting, and some form of parenting which opposes the child's dream. As a father, you will grow to recognize the false, idiot, failure father figures that movies teach children about, and you'll realize you don't want your child to have such associations about you. Why should they view you in such poor ways that media portrays fathers in the child's image?
Children's media landscape is riddled with MIND VIRUSES.
If there were more harmless movies like Flow, I would pay good money. I'd pay a good subscription fee for monthly access to media that is intentional, interesting, awe-inspiring, AND VOID FROM PARASITIC IDEAS.
This may sound trivial but it's not - and I believe anybody that takes this idea seriously can make big money.
