You're running a company that sells widgets. You get a call from your general manager who tells you that your largest customer called to say their order (which was late) was delivered and is completely wrong.
What do you do?
Mindset makes or breaks you.
Event driven people freak out here because a bad event is going to ruin the company, cost them money, scare off their biggest revenue source, and piss off all the employees.
Process driven people evaluate what went wrong, negotiate with the client to make it right, and learn from the mistakes and create procedures that prevent repeat events--all while keeping the sales process working, and delivering on existing contracts.
The point is that mindset is all about tenacity. Keep going. Today is just another day where you add up the win(s) or loss(es) and move on to tomorrow to do it again.
Stop stopping to avoid risk or failure, you're going to have to risk failure every day. Some days are going to be a goat roping event, some days you'll be swimming in cash. Just do whatever it takes to keep going, and keep improving. There are no barriers or problems that can't be solved.
