Entrepreneur Rookie Mistakes 101

They often say that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, and I agree.

I have seen people newly discover business and they end up on this religious mission to convert EVERYONE around them into Business.

Business is one of those things, you either get it or you don't. A friend (who so happens to be my mentor too) who runs a 7 figure company told me a secret that I share with people serious to implement it

"There is never a money problem, only a wisdom problem.
Don't pray for money anymore.
Pray for wisdom and you'll never have trouble with money again." -- JH

It amazes me how this eludes people on a daily basis. People are struggling and suffering due to ignorance, a lack of knowledge if you will.

Look. Not everyone gets the whole FL mindset. Most think we're a couple sandwiches short of a picnic. Move in silence and only entertain those who truly understand you. Stop telling everyone everything. Be quiet about your goals, progress and execution.

Victory is MUCH sweeter when you can show the finished hardcopy of the book, rather than talk big about it.

I've been down that exact path. I've spent so much effort trying to convince friends and family that there is a better path out there with no luck. They all think Dave Ramsey has all of the answers that will lead to wealth.

I just bought plane tickets and I'm headed to Greece for the whole summer and all I hear is "you're so lucky." If I had a nickel for every time I've had to explain that luck has nothing to do with it . . .

I've come to the point where I can only lead by example and be there waiting if and when they are finally ready to learn.

You can lead a horse to water and all that jazz.

I love that quote you shared because what makes it unique compared to many other "motivational or Money" type of quotes,
is the fact that it instantly empowers the reader to focus deeply within themselves for the answers and not have the typical
superficial mindset to all of their problems. Great Post !

It amuses me how people are convinced that without luck, you couldn't have "struck it rich".

I didn't even bother with the convincing bit. You cannot change a drone, I realised very early on.

Why thank you. Wish I could take credit for the quote however it was my mentor. It is a genius quote. He explained that wisdom is what leads us to riches. Take the prime example of King Solomon. I have read in-depth about him and the various practices he used, very fascinating.

There is no "science" to wealth. It is a combination of relentless hustle, speed, savvy and being HONEST. So many people forget being honest is fundamental.

I absolutely love this. Sadly, most of my friends and colleagues are money hungry and not hungry for wisdom. I would rather trade time for knowledge instead of time for money. I have a long way to go, but using your quote will definitely keep me aligned. Thank you for sharing.

This is good advice!!! I pray for more wisdom...

I know several people, one in particular actually, who talks about how poor he is and his luck sucks but when I try to talk to him about it he's too busy watching ESPN and the next ball game. He sits for hours every night in front of the game... a game... any game... I am not trying to boast but I notice that while he is doing that as well as many others I know, I am still writing or working out at the gym. I am trying to execute on my goals while others continue to talk about them... Thanks @Nadia for the post!

I'm constantly doing something concerning my eventual exit of the slowlane either learning, researching, reading or thinking. I only stop to watch Game of Thrones or when the wife is pissed im not giving her any attention.
