For any folks here that do targeted mailings, to EXISTING customers (not lead lists):

What are good stats?

Our first newsletter we sent out (back in 2005) had a much better open rate:

Open rate: 67.7%
Clicks: 30.9%
Spam reports: 0
Opt outs: 4.2%
Bounces: 11%

Here is our current newsletter, sent this week:

Open rate: 31.1%
Clicks: 15.7%
Spam reports: 16
Opt outs: 1.1%
Bounces: 2.7%

I realize that our current stats are still above industry averages.

But how do the experienced folks feel about these numbers?

(again, this is stuff that ONLY goes to guests that have already stayed here AND have asked that they be included in our emails)
