Diamond trading lessons for beginners

Recently I read an article on Diamond trading.
Would be grateful if anyone here with experience in diamond trading share experience.. As a beginner does it really need lots of heavy capital or highly complex skills..
Is it in alignment with forum's CENTS parameters ?

Capital is not needed really, as a huge amount of the industry works on credit. Trust is needed big time as many deals are settled with a hand shake. Depends on your market (jewellery stores, other sellers, end user, collectors). Best way to get started is to purchase a membership to your city's diamond trading floor. You will need cash, as well as usually 2 references in the industry that can vouch for you.
