Definitely think you made the right choice. I looked into purchasing a self service car wash at one point. Depending on the age of the equipment, you would probably be changing out just about everything which can get extremely expensive based on what direction you take. Also, many people think you just go and pick up the money and that's it. Owning a self service car wash is a full time job. You constantly have to clean the bays, collect change, maintain equipment, and repair equipment that is breaking on the regular. Not saying the money isn't there to be made but if you are doing well in the rental field stick with it and milk that cow for all it's worth!
