Introduction
There are so many posts on new people joining this community, and it is truly astonishing to see how many great people there are here.
I have been a lurker here since roughly 2016, with minor bouts of posting and then eventually creating a new account in 2022. And so I feel it is fair to re-introduce myself as I now explore entrepreneurship.
For the past few years I have been in pipeline generation. Yes, that ugly and gnarling business of cold calling, sending emails and writing LinkedIn messages soliciting your brain for a short few minutes of conversation on that product you faintly remember. Which you then recollect from that muddy leaflet glued to the expo floor, corners bent with the brand name just legible.
With some minor successes under my belt as an individual contributor, I now lead a team across EMEA. Mostly new hires, and all that I have trained from scratch. Fun fact, these new killers have outperformed all other teams globally - for this quarter (November to January), we hit target a month and a half ahead of each other team.
I love it, and I'm OK at understanding my industry. So now I'm exploring how I can scale that out in my niche using the few scrappy skills I have - pipeline creation and building fragile software applications.
Great to meet you all.
