I was reading MJ's story again as the movie Forest Gump was playing in the background on T.V.
I had the whole fast lane concept hot and ready in my mind looking for more examples of it to apply to my every day life.
Around the time I was right in the middle of MJ's story all inspired and s**t.
Forrest Gump was handing a man a handful of cash for a beat down boat in which he was referred as "stupid" for buying. I'll consider this man a negative influence or a naysayer in which Forrest Gump ignores and goes along with his idea anyways.
Forrest Gump had a decent amount of money from a ping pong sponsorship I believe. Instead of wasting his money on BS he invested in a beat down boat pursuing his business inspired by Bubba. He took a risk worked his a** off and never gave up.
At first he was unsuccessful netting any shrimp. All he caught was junk.
Through perseverance he ended up turning his investment into a "million dollar cooperation" as hinted throughout the movie.
Forrest did not (seemingly) buy that boat because he wanted to become rich. But he was just going with an idea. Making the thought reality. He had a very specific niche "shrimp/food" and added value to food merchants by providing them with his shrimp.
Now I understand this is Hollywood, but the concept in my opinion at least is reality.
When you compare any successful entrepreneur story they all have congruent similarity's.
I'm going to attempt to put these similarity's into a formula which I understand will not make sense to everyone, not all of you all agree. But it is just my opinion.
V*Ad*Ri(m)(i)*Hw(10)*Pt = $uccess* Advertise
V = Value
Ad = Action/doing
Ri(m)(i) = Risk/invest, multiply, improve
Hw(10) = Hard work 10x what you initially expected to do.
Pt = Perseverance/time
$uccess = self explanatory.
* Advertise your successAd = Action/doing
Ri(m)(i) = Risk/invest, multiply, improve
Hw(10) = Hard work 10x what you initially expected to do.
Pt = Perseverance/time
$uccess = self explanatory.
-You figure out something of Value.
-You get off your a** and starting working out the details & how you will make it work. Put your thoughts into Action & actually DO it!
-You risk/invest to increase this value.
Multiply it
Improve it
- You work hard on it
V*Ad*Ri(m)(i)*Hw(10)*Pt = $uccess. Advertise your success!
V |Shrimp*
Ad |Buying the boat, netting shrimp*
Ri(m)(i) |Spending his small fortune on a boat while using his profits to buy more boats with better capability's(for sake of argument)*
Hw(10) |Working endlessly trying to catch shrimp*
Pt| Never giving up even when all he could catch was a toilet seat while waiting for that storm to hit=
Success
(Luck is not added into my formula because I feel we create our own luck through time and action.
