I've started a new company and I'm debating whether or not I should learn bookkeeping and keep all of my books myself (Quickbooks), or outsource it all. I would need to learn bookkeeping, since I've never really done it myself.

What do you guys/girls think?

To answer this in any useful way would probably require more information. You have given literally nothing beyond your intention to start a company.

A firm with one local client may well have very simple bookkeeping. A firm selling domestically and manufacturing overseas may have something more complicated, etc.

It's up to you to calculate whether it would be worth your time to learn to do it yourself.

Learn it yourself, setup a system, then train someone to enter data and keep reports and financials up to date.

Reason..... You need to know your numbers. You need to understand how things after the balance sheet, the P&L, and MOST IMPORTANTLY the cashflow statement and pro forma......
