I am not rich
I do own 2 restaurants
sometimes I think to myself.. there have got to be some businesses that a person can start with little startup capital.. that can throw off some good cash to help you get going..
hopefully this thread can help throw some tested ideas out there to help people that are not looking for a homerun but maybe a single.. so they can build a better team and then hit that homerun..
YOU can cater.. yes you.. the guy that cant cook... heres how you can do it..
grow some *****
get the business.. where.......... your client is pharmaceutical reps.. (they spend company money)
decide your menu.. heres a sample menu.. sandwiches.. salad, chips, dessert, drinks..
charge per person..... say $10 per person..
an order for 10 is $100
1. make some menus ( get them printed professionally)
2. camp out at busy doctors offices
3. sell yourself..(explain how your the owner blah blah blah)
4. buy cell phone and book orders
5. form company and rent kitchen space
6. make and deliver food
you should easily be able to charge double what your costs are.. more like 3X would be best
build up a clientel and start making some money.. 2 orders per day for 20 people each should be able to make you $400 booked.. $240+ profit..
it does take your time at least in the beginning but if your looking for some cash building.. it is very low risk..
