Hi!
Lastly, I've felt like I've been wasting my time a lot.
To give you a situation:
I'm waiting for product samples.
I did market research for this product, tweaked the base idea using the feedback I had, and even ran ads to test the market.
Now, I'm waiting for samples from multiple suppliers since December 2021. Problem is that I have to go back and forth to make tweaks to the samples, or simply ask suppliers to respect the specs I sent them on a very precise document. It takes around 2-3 weeks to make a new sample.
Until I have final samples to be sure the product is exactly as customers expect it, I can not do anything. As soon as I have the samples tho, I can start pre-selling the product, doing the logistics etc... But until then, all essential tasks are done.
I already have 2000 people who registered on a waitlist. Running more ads would be a waste of money since I do not have a release date yet, and the more time pass, the more people will forget about the product or change their mind.
For now, I'm mainly reading books and working on a side project I thought would be short, but I'm realizing that it will take years before this side-project will be any good. I feel like I'm wasting potential for the current project.
The problem is that I do not know what to do right now, as I've done all that could be done now to my knowledge.
I could find small tasks to do like improving the popup on my e-commerce website, etc... but they would have zero direct impact, and can all easily be done when needed, so it would be a waste of time to do it now.
My question is, what is the best way you found to make this "wait time" productive? Do you also waste it, or have you found a way to make the best out of it?
