Apprenticeship as a waiter??

Hello fastlaners Community!

For my first thread on this forum I have a question regarding my apprenticeship as a waiter.
I am currently 19 years old in Germany and doing a apprenticeship as a waiter. I have school 1 a week and I find it very useless and am not interested in listening because the stuff they teach is not the direction I want to go (in terms of working a average job as a waiter and working a 9-5). I wanted to ask if you guys think that My mindset towards this is something I should change or no. I do not know if this makes sense but I would love to hear your thoughts.

Well I am currently working on a business alongside the apprenticeship and I want to widen my knowledge so I am also reading a lot of books and learning a lot about finance. I do now really know other job alternatives because I finished high school last may and did not know what to do and decided to do a apprenticeship as a waiter because I have always been interested in hospitality, but I soon realized that it is something I don’t want (as in have main source of income from this) so I decided to begin working on a business. I would work as a waiter as a hobby when I have freedom, which I technically kind of have. So I do now know if I should go work in some networking or sales company to improve my communication skills and selling

Edit: My thoughts are to pause it/quit it and work on my business and return to it once I have the time freedom to pursue it

I was thinking about the WADM when I asked this question, because I remember MJ using this in the book and thought this could help me make a big decision. I mean waitering is quite fun but what bothers me is the school, I would wanna do the job without the school but I don’t think that is possible.

Because I am also thinking of quitting, working on my business full time and once I have entered the fastlane and escaped the rat race I will purse waiting as a hobby
