That's at least 2 other Perthites on here. Been to any entrepreneur meetups or anything?
No, feel like I gotta earn some stripes (or war wounds!) before I can start swapping stories. I was thinking about going to the Unconvention in March though.

i'm going to be in australia for a while. what are the coolest/can't miss things in australia?

Definitely check out the great barrier reef. I went at the end of last year and had a great time in Cairns and the surrounding islands.

Go to an Aussie rules football game. And if you come to Melbourne, give me a shout we can have a poker session at crown casino.

It's good to see that there are few ppl from Australia in here. I haven't seen many others :(

What are peoples thoughts on doing business here compared to the states?
The market is 15 times as small, but the competition seems even less in some areas...

P.S. I'm form Adelaide too :)

I think Australia would still be a great place to do business?

I never been to America but I always thought of America and Australia as similar places to do business besides the difference in population. Of course, I might be very wrong!

P.S. I'm form Adelaide too :)

I will be in Adelaide this weekend, my fiancee is from there. We are also thinking of moving there early next year!!

Hey guys, did anyone end up going to The Unconvention in Sydney yesterday? If yes what did you think of it?

Nice to hear from you as well @Oztrepreneur. Do you guys meet-up in Melbourne regularly, when can?

Perth here!

@valuecreator nice to see you on the forums and to hear from you

(and)

By the way, what are these status of 'speed per hour' and 'parked'? :) I have not read the book yet and am looking online to see where I can buy it from or perhaps if any local library has it to borrow. I did get sent via email a free PDF with I think the first 3 chapters after giving my email address on a pop-up-box on this forum

Would love to meet some like minded people in Brisbane,I have fallen off the horse lately

Nice to see you on the forum @PHD, on the list (Brisbane | Gold Coast 'tab') I think about 3-4 people including yourself maybe from the G-Coast area. But Brisbane is not that far of a drive down the highway from G-Coast anyway

I'm in Brisbane but I'm sure I could make time to get down to Sydney for a meet up.

Just an idea, what do you all think..? If people are already with a 24/7 gym chain like 'Anytime Fitness' or 'Plus Fitness' or 'Snap Fitness', are people willing to meet up at a gym-venue that is central (or easy to access) to most..? That way can get two things done at once (networking & exercise-session-for-the-day), and get some thing to eat after it.. Reason I specifically mentioned a 24/7 gym is that way can meet up early morning or even late-evening/night without having to worry about "when does the gym close?" type questions when normally dealing with a non-247 gym

I am a member with 'Plus Fitness 247' chain, but I think there are far more accessible 'Anytime Fitness 247' venues around Australia - so if it is worth, I may consider joining Anytime Fitness if a lot of the forum members are with them already anyway and make it easy for everyone. Only thing I am concerned about is Anytime Fitness is a 15-18 month contract I think, where as Plus Fitness is a '2-week' revolving contract for a similar weekly bill-charge-amount as Anytime Fitness

Of-course this type of get-together would not replace like a coffee-shop meet-up or meeting at a hotel rented conference hall or a community-centre/library rented conference hall, was more so just an idea that I wanted to see how others would feel about it if they were already gym members of a certain chain anyway

Saw this thread and I thought I'd say Hi. It's been a while since I've posted here.

Would be an idea to have a TMF meetup.com group and then move around locations for catchups within the Melbourne area. Maybe 1 every quarter, if not one a month?
