Hi everyone!
I'm Sharlene from Vancouver, Canada. I currently work full-time in the medical device field. In the past, I've worked in the civil engineering and interactive design fields. I've never considered these jobs as careers, since I wasn't interested in climbing up any ladders in any of those fields. There's a restlessness that's always been present... I'm not sure if this is something that all entrepreneurs feel. I joined this forum to provide and receive support to/from likeminded people who are walking similar paths.
So, I've been working on a project for the past 3 years. It's a paper planner and I think it's pretty amazing. I've just finally ordered the first printed samples from the manufacturer. It'll be nice to have a final prototype to show people and to feel like I'm moving forward. My next step is to prepare for the crowdfunding campaign next spring, to see if this is a product that the market actually wants. I'm also going to use the time to learn copywriting, get comfortable and confident sharing what I've created, and staying motivated by re-reading The Millionaire Fastlane and Unscripted . I've toyed with the idea of giving up several times on my journey, but I knew I'd regret it on my deathbed if I didn't see this project through. My deep "whys" are freedom of choice, to provide for my family, and to support others' dreams.
