Hi MJ, I loved the book and as posted elsewhere on the forum I think it is the best book for entrepreneurs ever. I wish stuff like this existed 25 years ago.
I have a question for you that concerns branding. In your book you are saying that your products shouldn't be just products, cause then they can be copied easily. But everyone should invest in building a brand. I concur with that and I think it is a serious issue.
What I am wondering is in what way you are building brands yourself? Take the company you built and sold, Limo. Did you register a trademark at the USPTO? Or do you define branding in a broader sense? Like consistently using a pattern of colors on a website (trade dress) or through the promotion of a name?
In other words, the importance of branding is clear to me, but what are your experiences and tips concerning that subject?
