I have been an amex member for about a year now (green personal charge) I always liked that I could never get myself in trouble with it because the pmt is due in full at the end of the month. I basically use it for everything unless they don't accept amex and I put it on the visa debit card.
Recently I have been offered the Plum card and Gold card for my business expenditures. I have been paying expenses with a simple debit card since I opened my company account. Naturally I did a little research. My overhead is tiny. No real points will come of a gold card, but 60 days to pay the bill on a plum certainly opens up some new advertising opportunity. I am thinking that most advertising I do can provide an ROI before my bill is due and after I pay off the card it is all margin.
I am really considering calling amex and getting the plum. It may open some great new advertising doors for me. 250 annual fee is a little high but I can test drive, my theory for a year and see if its worth it.
