Sharon and I have never visited Arizona (aside from the Grand Canyon) ... and were thinking that ... if we are going to fly to Scottsdale for a weekend ... may as well stay for a week and make a vacation out of it.

So ... I guess the first question is ... do you think we should stay the whole week in Phoenix metro ...? Or do you think we should spend a few of of those days somewhere else ...?

Just so you know ... we are not golfers ... and don't care much for professional sports. But we do like nature ... red rock ... canyons ... scenic drives ... stuff like that. And places of historical interest are also a plus.

And is there any "must see" stuff in Phoenix you think we should take note of ...?

We'll naturally do some homework on trip Advisor (and similar travel sites) ... but being as we have some Arizona natives here ... figured we'd ask.
