If you have 0 followers, and you post on instagram with ZERO hashtags, you will probably get zero responses.

Hashtags are important for growing (at least based on my experience with using a personal account) your instagram account by sharing your message with people around the world who are surfing the discover page of those hashtags.

The one I used to use for hashtag research was best hashtags (website), which apparently returned a list of the best hashtags for a specific topic or keyword. They're probably better and more accurate tools out there for this purpose though, this one was just free.

And what I've found is, if you've got nothing of value to offer to those discovering you with those hashtags, then they probably won't respond as effectively to your message and your page probably won't grow as fast, if at all.

What problems are your target market facing that you can solve with digital content? Maybe start there? And help them solve them!
