So the past 2-3 years I've been very fortunate and I've grown my bank account quite a bit.

But it bugs me to leave such large sums of cash in the bank, slowly deteriorating in value over the days.

Plus - I don't trust the banks and I know I don't really have any money - I just have a number in an app on a screen.

I guess I can withdraw money slowly to at least convert it to something I can hold (cash). But cash is a depreciating asset currently...

So, what do I do?

I'm worried about how to store value in other assets. I don't know what's safe, what is feasible, pros and cons etc.

I have some physical gold. No crypto. No stocks. No land - no real estate etc.

I just hate leaving the $ in the bank and seeing the number get higher and higher. I worry that it can just all be taken away instantly by some "whoopsie" on the part of the bank. Or intentional malpractice in the event of bank runs, etc.

How do you guys store your value in a manner you can trust?
