About 2 years ago, I made a post about how a browser extension I built made money while I slept.
Well now, the browser extension has made $199 in the past 30 days.
I know its not a lot to people here but it has been very passive and I am able to now live fairly comfortably due to it.
But now I'm looking to make even more from it.
My extension, Blur It (Blur It - Hide PII on Screen Shares - Chrome Web Store) has been having high number of uninstalls likely due to my hard paywall. Users can't use the product without paying.
I previously tried giving out 10 free blurs back in March but my sales suffered a lot and the uninstalls didn't dramatically reduce so I ended up removing it
My impressions and installs have even been reducing these days.
Currently my extension is $49.99 ltd and $39.99 yearly and I average around 3/4 buyers per month. Looking to improve my sales but not sure how.
What I'm looking to experiment with now:
- Remove ltd and add monthly
- Introduce low ppp pricing
- Contact micro creators
- Find Facebook groups where my icp hangout
- Improve AI SEO
