Hi everyone, I know this advice may not apply to everyone, but hear me out:
A lot of people who want to pursue entrepreneurship are introverted. They love to build stuff, help people, and make the world a better place. But talking to people, cold calling, advertising is so miserable that it stops them from ever starting.
Is it a willpower thing? Probably. But it doesn't have to be. If you meet someone who can do that part for you, if you meet someone who is just a crazy motherfcker and starts shit, It will be so much easier to finally start and get something out there.
I action-faked and floated my way through this forum for 2 years.
I ran small side hustles that I knew would never succeed, I read books on entrepreneurship, watched videos, listened to podcasts, the whole lot;
But i never actually acted on any of it. I knew so much about how to start and had dozens of ideas, but I just couldn't find it in me to get to it and just start. I was just the introverted entrepreneur who was too scared to start.
Meeting my co-founder changed that 180 degrees. He was a primarily business person who was doing accounting in college and hating it. (of course).
He was very extroverted. Pair that with being great at management and being a crazy F*ck made him a really good business partner. After we met and started working together a bit, I realized that in a way someone like him is the exact person I needed for my technical brain to finally start actually acting.
If you think you're in a situation similar to mine, or just in general, not starting for any reason, try it.
Worst‑case scenario: You lose a couple of days or a week after finding out that the person is useless. But at least you'll figure out if that's what you need.
Choosing a Business partner is hard, but if you choose them wisely, they will be so much more valuable than the 50% (or less, choose for yourself) equity you give them.
Hope it helps,
Thanks everyone
