Hello MJ, I signed up last night as a member of the Millionaire Fastlane forum and I'm very exited to be part of this community! I first listen to your audiobook on spotyfy and it graved my attention and listen to the whole book as i was driving. I said this is it is the way out of the rat race. I then order your three books so I can read them and I started reading the Millionaire fastlane and start applying them. Chapter 23 really help me to change my viewpoint fast and analyze more what I do, my choices and now that i learned more about time I need to increase my efficiency a lot more an I decided to do that so now after work im on this every day and I will be till I get out of the rat race.
I own a Landscaping business that i started from scratch that makes 5 million a year but I have not been able to get ahead and make profit and Im working on adjusting things with this new viewpoint. I depend on it to pay the bills but it sucks my time full time. Only good thing it has taught me responsibility and has giving me skills to deal with customers, do sales , marketing , promotion , production and that I like but financially i need to break through.
My goal is to analyze how i can use this principles to make it more viable or use it figure out systems to make it work better and lower the operation cost. And/or at the same time look for other money making ideas and using these principles and succeed.
I am 60 years old and my goal is to educate myself on what I need while making progress on my ideas and in 5 years be divorced of working time for money.
One idea i have is to crate and make a service for home owners on how to find the right gardener to maintain their landscape yards because one by one complains about how bad the gardener is and don't know what they are doing. and the gardeners have a problem with their communication and don't know how to handle their homeowner customer so they can service them well.
So, I was thinking of creating a consulting service for the home owner on a web page they can come to to find a good qualified gardener which I would be able to provide because I can train and get gardeners qualified to take care of a landscape.
I the webpage i would have training videos , tutorials , forms , checklists and what to do videos, gardeners and charge for that training or and a membership fee.
I already have talked to over 100 homeowners and and they love the idea if that existed.
Im just getting my wheels going and as I keep reading am adjusting my own reality with the value of my time.
