Alright, as I type the title of this thread I see my idea already exists. That's great because that means there is at least something to back it up, what about AAAS instead of SAAS? I wanted to call it inverse SAAS (Software around a service lol).
The general idea:
See, since last winter I have been "stuck" on a construction project, a lot of lessons that you'll find in my progress thread soon. The cause of all this headache is simply that expectations did not meet because of underemployment in our market, why? Well a large portion of our population is older than 40 years old, since around 1980/1990 our government has been promoting so called higher education as a good alternative to for example trade schools. This with the coming of the internet
The reality of that here is that well, we as plumbers, but even so electricians or HVAC are pretty busy. Especially if you have a good reputation. Now you might think, how TF does that have anything to do with AAAS or inverse SAAS?!
Well, all those tradesmen are getting old and want to get into the office... Since there a jobs dime a dozen it's not so tough to get by well, since there is no competition the standards are low.
AI can solve this
And guess who doesn't know ai? All 40+ years old tradesmen!
My overall idea would be to sell the output of about 10 salesmen with the accuracy of Ai, all of these jobs would have to be done but this can be done by building a strong network of independent installers(as we are ourselves). My Ai task in this lies in the fact that I'd have to teach an agent about construction and it would need to make inquiries based on pictures, so that is my evening task for the next few weeks. In the long game you could set up your own trade school of people that would understand the system you've build AND have personal market knowledge which, I don't believe will be replaced. You'll basically be one large sales company(as all companies are
)
Why do I share this? Well the entry to barrier is pretty high, I think the idea in itself is just astonishing for possibilities but you would need to know a lot about construction and your market might be different(I'm in Holland)
If however you see a market that is basically the same then focus all of your Ai power on this, it might be bookkeeping, legislation, contractors whatever. Building a tool that could solve large problems in such a market has extreme Fastlane potential.
You can build quickly through AI and fall down many times to get market knowledge while still being payed if needed on an hourly rate(at least you'll be able to say how many hours you'll work a week), if you do need to go through the financial mud to make this work then at least make sure you never stop building the actual intended business. That's what happened to me the past few months to some extent, might just be the process lol.
