Hello Everyone - My name is Edward and I am happy to join you all here on the Fastlane forum. My discovery of MJ's fine books has lead me here and I am glad to share and learn with like minded individuals.

By day I work in operations for an asset management firm to pay the bills and by night I am an oil painter.

Will be getting married at the end of summer and currently looking to purchase a home with my fiancée.

The blinders are now off and I am excited to get to work on building something of value that can help as many people as possible. My first gut idea out of the gate has been the start of a new YouTube channel to help new artists and painters (already up and running). However, I have an idea for a product improvement that I cannot shake off because this is something that many people will find incredibly useful.

Cannot honestly say that I have had my FTE event but I am on guard now anticipating this defining moment.

Looking forward to adding value to everyone's lives and making some friends a long the way!

Here is to moving out of the Slow Lane and into the Fast Lane!

Welcome to the Forum!

Looking forward to see how your channel pans out.
On the FTE event, sometimes it is better to not to wait for that 'ideal moment' to kickstart things.
As long we can start working on something, we'll make some decent progress.

Thank you ZF - definitely getting the momentum going is the name of the game. The new YouTube channel helps fuel my fire to make something happen.

Wanted to take the time and check in.

Currently listening to The Great Rat Race Escape . So far so good!

At the time of this post I have been working on my YouTube channel. I currently have 68 subscribers. In the past month I have had 1,536 views with 4,754 minutes watched. Sure, I have a little ways to go before getting monetized but that is ok, I am embracing the processes. Soon more doors will be opened and this will be welcomed with open arms.

This continues to be a good learning process. I knew nothing about making, editing, uploading videos. It has not been easy but my discomfort keeps me going. Keeping in mind the customer experience component, I do my best to respond sincerely to every bit of feedback/comments I receive from my viewers.

Aside from this effort I continue to think about a product and/or service that can be scaled up that does not rely on a third party. My gut tells me I will make this happen. As long as I keep moving forwards and be prepared to adapt by shifting lanes on the highway of success.

I hate the rat race. I hate it so much. I refuse to be a willing participant any longer.

End rant.
