Hi Everyone

In this thread I'm going to document my journey to try and scale my Coaching Business an additional £3k pm in 30 days

Inspired by some threads in the forum about the Health & Fitness Industry I wanted to see how easy it would be to add some decent revenue in the next 30 days with some paid guidance. I've hired a trusted business coach and I have my first call this Wednesday 5th May.

Background
- Degree in Exercise Science
- 8+ years of Coaching 1-1 and managing personal training teams
- A ton of self development and learning in this field

The real work will start following the call Wednesday but wanted to open the thread for any potential questions/advice and I'll document a few things I'm doing now in the lead up

See some of my results here: Results – JourneyByJC

My own 'transformation' from a chubby and shy kid

Day 1 - 5th May

I've had a couple of client calls today and got some general admin done.

Actions for Client Acquisition over the next several days

- Set up Calendly to improve processing speed for sales calls
- Draft some content/surveys leading to a call to action on my instagram story to gage interest as well as a content post on facebook to do the same
- Draft a new 3 month/12 week program offering vs selling a monthly service (Selling a clear result in a set timeframe)

The loose plan is to spend a good 1-2 weeks sharpening the axe, gaging/building interest, then start pushing for sales towards the end of May

Background work
- Working on a free fat loss e-product to build an email list
- Revamping my website and cleaning up some article drafts to eventually release weekly

Nice challenge man!
I've noticed you give yourself a clear deadline and goal, nice!

How do you get client calls?

Good luck, make sure you spend 80% of your time on activities that directly relate to bringing in sales, whether thats cold calls, emails, sending Instagram messages to potential clients.

Not doing this and spending 80% of my time on fulfillment instead of sales has been the biggest mistake in my business career.

Good plan James.

What did you get from yesterday's call out of interest?

Is the guy helping you with strategy or mindset or Sales/Marketing or something else? You described him as trusted business coach so presumably there is a skillset he has that you identified you need help with in getting to the next level.

Thank you bro!

So for now I just have an application form on my facebook/instagram and my website. When people complete that I'll just book them on a call asap. Setting up Calendly right now so that process is more automated and they can just book it in themselves.

Thank you Paul. Yes that's really good advice and a good reminder. I'm obsessed with being efficient in my process and actions... Focusing on the highest value tasks.

What business are you in?

Thank you Dan

As far as the first call it was just a basic intro to the program as there is a course/content to follow. Then identifying some key things as far as my target demographic, my pricing/delivery and how to start building some intro content on my social media to gage interest.

So I've signed up with to a greater program/course and I'm working through with multiple coaches in the group to work on all aspects of my business. The main selling point for me was that they offer a money back guarantee if I don't hit my revenue targets in the first 30 days so it's completely de risked the process. I'll share them after if I find their coaching valuable and they hopefully help me achieve my goals.

I help businesses get more 5 star reviews on platforms like Google, Facebook etc using automated software.

I myself in the past get too busy spending time on the tweaking things that don't bring me closer to a sale, so now I'm focusing on spending 80% of my time doing sales outreach!

Do you have client transformations?

I've noticed the biggest successes here not only have their own transformation (yours is amazing) but also lots of great client ones.

Might not be possible when starting out, but don't underestimate the value of that!! Huuuuge value skew when you see as a customer that other customers are actually achieving what you want.

Thank you!

Great job, I'm actually considering signing up for Ultimate Performance | World Leading Personal Trainers | UK they have lots of similar transformations but its like £2000+ for 12 week course.

The reason what makes me want to sign up is the amount of transformation pics they have on their site. You can't have enough of these in my opinion!

It's funny you say that, I worked at Ultimate Performance in London for just over a year from 2017-2018. They're very good at what they do.

What a coincidence! I just feel like I need to go somewhere and have someone making sure I'm doing the right things, and lifting the right way, correct weights etc. Then also giving me correct food to eat because that's where I really struggle!

Just made a post on Facebook on some reflections. Thought I would share it in here as well to see if anyone got some value from it.

See Below:

I was fortunate to take part in an Ayahuasca retreat in 2018, after the setbacks a lot of us have experienced in the past year I wanted to share some key takeaways and reflections 3 years on.

⚪️ The Value of Relationships

Something that a good friend helped me realise last year, strong relationships are vital for our health & wellbeing and truly make life that much richer.

⚪️ Health is your Most Valuable Asset

Something we all know and understand on a superficial level but in my opinion health is truly the most valuable thing we have, without it nothing is possible and when health is optimal everything else in life becomes easier and more enjoyable.

Health can be a complex and multifaceted topic. However somewhere most of us can start is the physical, optimising our physical health and getting in great shape. This will lead to improved energy, wellbeing and confidence. The physical can then act as the vehicle to lead into more positive change in other areas of our lives.

⚪️ Gratitude & Appreciation

Another cliche today is to be grateful and show appreciation but I believe it really is a good practice. Think to yourself that just to be alive today and able read this text someone has helped you, raised you, guided you and fed you. We're also living in one of the most abundant and safe times in human history (Matt Ridleys book the rational optimist is an excellent read on this topic)

I've also found Alan Watts to be a great teacher and guide in philosophy/zen buddhism to really appreciate life, just throw his name into youtube and listen to one of his lectures to get started.

Here's the article on my experience:

Quick Update

Have 2 sales calls booked in this week from the couple of posts I made on Facebook.

Have some content planned out for this week to post EOD

Also looking how to integrate some kind of psychedelic coaching and the legalities around that (Something that I've helped previous clients with for purely educational and entertainment purposes :))

Great journey as usual. Carry on. And don't hesitate to update us. LOL!
Haha thank you for the prompt!

Day 12 - 14th May

I've been working in the background improving my sales systems, onboarding systems and doing some content writing.

I closed a new client on Wednesday at £420pm and have another sales call today. So you could say I'm at 14% of my goal. Hopefully this next potential client works out to be a good fit, then I can push that to over 25% before end of day.

On a personal note I've been suffering from a chronic ankle/foot injury that's been causing me a lot of pain in the last year and has severely limited my activity. I'm still working on it to get it right, seeing a lot of people and throwing a lot of money at it. It's not really relevant but it is affecting my mental state. From living in sunny Colombia to coming back to the UK and dealing with a lockdown winter/injury was not the most ideal situation haha.

Converted the sales call and booked in some 1-1 sessions on top. So far so good.

Day 13 - 15th May

Almost at the halfway point!

Updates
- Working on a 6 week fat loss program product which is better than almost anything I've found on the market so far. Especially for health optimisation alongside fat loss.
- Planning out some content to be consistently publishing this next week
- My goal is to get at least 2 more sales calls booked in this week. Would be awesome to keep up the 100% conversation rate haha

Goals

- As I said at the beginning, the goal was to build out content and get some awareness in the first 2 weeks then push harder for sales right towards the end of May. Things are looking good and on track for that.

Thank you for following along with this. I took my foot off the pedal around the halfway point (Had some family issues come up) and funnily enough ended up achieving 50% of my goal.

I've started a separate thread to give some advice to the guys on this forum and share some of the best practices I've learnt over the years
