Ciao Fastlaners,

I've read both the Millionaire Fastlane and Unscripted , but only now am I joining the Forum.

I started out in eCommerce, made around 20K € revenue in 4 months, and then I got lazy, went traveling with the money (good trip though :) )and the business dropped off. Since then I've started different ideas but unfortunately hopped from idea to idea without sticking to one.

Now I'm planning to stick to this idea until I can make it work or the market screams that they absolutely don't need my product. I'm creating a membership website that teaches and coaches people that work from home on how to adapt to the structureless environment by fortifying their habits.

Let me know what you think and feel free to share any tips.

I hope you guys take tonnes of action towards your dreams and feel free to reach out in private to share your vision for your life.

All the best

As someone who ran a business out of my home for a few years, I like this idea, because the first year or two I was not very productive or efficient at what I was doing.

I solved my problems by getting an office space and I found out I'm MUCH more productive.

However, I bet there are a number of things people can do to become really good at maintaining a higher level of execution.

Looking forward to seeing your progress.

Hi PapaGang, thank you for your feedback!

Yes, I personally had to build discipline and a structured environment at home to perform at my best. So I am trying to solve my own problem which I think is valuable as a competitive edge.

Yes, I think one of the keys is creating an office environment, even if it is working in a coffee shop or a desk in your room.

My plan is to identify the big stones habits crucial to structured work at home environments, and focus on getting the best results for the first wave of customers.

Maybe I'll keep posting here about my journey and hopefully provide some value along the way.

PapaGang, do you have a business yourself or are planning to start one?

I've been freelancing for a couple years now, currently trying to transition into a scalable marketing agency. I "work from home", although I've been traveling nearly the whole time, so that's included working from cafes, hostels, hotels, coworking spaces, apartments, basically anywhere I can get internet.

Being on the move can make it even harder to stick to a routine and good habits. I think I've got the hang of it now, but something like your idea would have been very useful to me along the way. I tried reading books, using all sorts of apps, as well as paying for an online productivity coach and a therapist. None of which seemed to help much. I basically had to just figure this shit out myself.

What exactly did you mean by "fortifying their habits"? Why did you decide to pursue this particular idea?

Awesome, do you have a specific niche or market that you are targeting? (if you are comfortable sharing). Excited to see your progress :)

I agree, traveling is great but it does complicate one's professional life.

It seems that there may perhaps be a market out there then. I appreciate the feedback.

When I say fortifying habits I mean that most people working from home already know which habits will impact them the most. My top three are having a fixed worked schedule, planning tasks that move the needle the night before, and getting daily socialization/exercising so I don't go crazy.

I realized that focusing on the basics and making those habits top level will put all the other moving parts in place.

I decided to pursue this idea because I think I have an edge in knowing how to adapt to working from home (still learning, of course). But also because I love psychology and helping people improve their lives.

I had a business for 8 years. Was a partner in 2 startups.

It will be interesting to see the outcome of your research.

I've been targeting coaches lately. Currently working with coaches from a couple different niches. I was thinking life coaches before, but now I'm considering other niches. Here's my execution thread if you want to follow my progress: EXECUTION - Sink or Swim: 1 Month to Sign My First Agency Client

I think "digital nomads" is definitely a relevant niche for you, or just freelancers and entrepreneurs in general. Not having set hours to work on a job makes it more difficult to stick to a routine or set of habits.

What kind of action are you taking or planning to take next with this?

What's your excuse for not committing to this e-commerce business and scaling it to something big?

You mention shiny object syndrome. This seems like something that you shouldn't have allowed to die off.

When something's working, you put gas on it and keep doing it.

Great! Happy for your success.

Thanks! I think working from home is still a recent concept which means that there is a lot to be researched and optimized.

Checked out your progress thread, good stuff. I like life coaches, but what if you went even more specific?

Maybe coaches that help middle-class people save effectively for their retirement. Or perhaps coaches that work only with Inside salespeople, etc. I think the future of consulting/agencies is specialization (idea taken from Sam Ovens).

Yes, that is my go-to market, very broad still but I will find soon who the best customers will be.

I have created the membership group with content, and I finalized the 3 sales funnels last week. Today I created ads and tomorrow I will test a campaign with Youtube Ads.

Hi AgainstAllOdds, thank you for your feedback!

The eCommerce business died down 2 years ago. The business model was a little shakey but I think I could have probably scaled it. You are right, I should not have let it die down but I was younger and naive.

Unfortunately, I went traveling with the money that I was making, and my motivation for the business died down. I was dropshipping bracelets directly from China and it did not feel very rewarding at the time. However, if I could go back today I would stick with it (foolish supposition, but true still).

A hard lesson to learn, but valuable - don't take those opportunities for granted. And I think that decision reflected onto the next businesses that I created. I never committed fully to one idea.

But now it is enough, I want to stop that mentality once and for all. I've humbled myself and I'm hoping that I can get another shot at the goal.
