In all my previous business I invested in my own basic infrastructure and then used OPM (other peoples money) to run the business and build it. When I refer to OPM, I mean customers not investors. Most of the products I have offered required a 50% deposit, 40% payment prior to delivery and then 10% 10 days post deliver.
This all worked great but required very strict cash management as it could also get you into trouble down the line if business slows.
It now I want to take it to another level with a new idea that will require a lot more up front investment than previously and will require Cashflow to get the ball rolling.
I am not at all familiar with angel investors, venture capitalist or any other form of investors that are outside of the banking environment.
What would these type of investor be looking for? And I am talking over an above the usual business plan, pitch, entrepreneurial persona, etc.
What are they really looking for?
Follow on, how does one find these people?
